Nancy Brady

Nancy Brady is an artist, marketing, and graphic design professional based in Derwood, Maryland. She has always enjoyed creating art since her childhood. When she was a toddler, her parents found out she is hard of hearing and has a vision impairment. Creating art is therapeutic for Nancy. Nancy’s grandmother and aunts were artists that inspired her in her creative journey. She likes to work with traditional drawing media (colored pencils, pastels) and water-based media including watercolors, acrylic, and gouache. She likes to draw and paint flowers, nature, portraits, and landscapes. Nancy studied at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV and received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Art Education and minor in Art Therapy. After graduating, she attended the George Washington University’s (GWU) master’s program in Art Therapy in Washington, DC. Nancy provides freelance art (drawings and paintings) and digital marketing services for individuals, small businesses, instructors, and nonprofit organizations in the Washington, DC area.
Nancy is a member of the Gaithersburg Fine Arts Association (GFAA) and the Art League of Germantown (ALOG). She shows/sells her work at ALOG shows, GFAA shows, and through private commissions.
